Ravine Flyer Frenzy
Kick off summer by joining ACE Western Pennsylvania for our annual event at Waldameer & Water World -- a truly first-class traditional park with so much to offer, including the classic 1951 Herb Schmeck-designed Comet, the world's last surviving Bill Tracy Whacky Shack and Ravine Flyer II, which is consistently ranked among the world's top 10 wood coasters. The event will include ERT on all three of these attractions, including coveted dark night rides on Ravine Flyer II, as well as a delicious all-you-can-eat picnic dinner!
Tentative Schedule
9:45 - 10:30 a.m. Event check-in and Ice Cream For Breakfast (Registered attendees arriving later will be accommodated!)
10:30 a.m. - 12 noon ERT on Comet and Whacky Shack
10:30 - 11:30 a.m Lights-on experience in Pirate's Cove with an opportunity to peek into the attic
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Water World open to the general public and attendees
12 noon - 9 p.m. Waldameer (rides) open to the general public and attendees
Time TBD Behind-the-Scenes Experience of Ravine Flyer II control room, motor house, 90-degree turn infield
5 - 6 p.m. All-you-can-eat picnic dinner featuring Tyson's Chicken Tenders, Flame-Grilled Hamburgers, Ox Roast (roast beef in au jus served with buns and horseradish), Bush's Baked Beans, Applesauce, Pasta Salad, Cole Slaw, Potato Chips, Vanilla Ice Cream Cups, and Soft Drinks.
9 - 10 p.m. ERT on Ravine Flyer II
ACE Western Pennsylvania’s famous ITOTs (Informal Take-Over Times) of rides will be scheduled throughout the day, and will include Steel Dragon, L. Ruth Express (train), Pirate's Cove, Giant Wheel, Carousel, Thunder River and other classic Waldameer rides.
Event check-in aside, the schedule is tentative and subject to change.

*Registration includes a Combo Pass valid for unlimited rides and waterpark access.
Non-members may attend only if registered with and accompanied by an ACE member.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be issued less a $10/person cancellation fee if notice is given by May 29, 2024

NOTE: No materials will be provided in advance. All registration materials are picked up at the event.
After registering, you will receive an immediate email confirmation through Universe, our third-party registration/payment service. Within 72 hours of registering, you will receive a second confirmation from ACE Western Pennsylvania's regional representative, which will be sent from blinkenheimer@aceonline.org. Two to four days prior to the event, those registered will receive an email with detailed information and any relevant instructions. This email will be sent from eventregistration@ACEwesternPA.org. We suggest adding those email addresses to your contact list and/or safe-senders list, to avoid having them go to spam or alternate email folders. Note that emails will only be sent to the email addresses entered by the individual performing the registration. If you register friends and family, we suggest that you forward any informational emails along to them.
There will be NO refunds issued after May 29, 2024.
You do not need to print a ticket and bring it with you to the event. Simply use your name to check-in at the event when you arrive.
Ice Cream for Breakfast
Ice Cream For Breakfast is back! During morning check-in, attendees will be able to enjoy a tasty ice cream breakfast and simultaneously support a great cause. The ice cream is generously donated and served by ACE volunteers in exchange for cash donations with 100% benefiting Give Kids The World (GKTW), a nonprofit “storybook” resort village in central Florida, close to the theme parks, that exclusively hosts families of children with life-threatening illnesses for cost-free vacations. The Comfort Inn, Erie - Near Presque Isle is the closest major hotel to Waldameer & Water World and is in close proximity to a number of restaurants as well as Presque Isle State Park on the shores of Lake Erie. All rooms include pillow-top mattresses, coffee/tea makers and flat screen HDTVs; and mini fridges and microwaves are available in most rooms. The hotel offers a business center, fitness center, outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary full hot breakfast.
Driving time to Waldameer is just a few minutes for the one-mile commute.
Rate is $121.00 per night (plus 13% tax) for up to four persons per room and includes a full hot breakfast. Rooms with two queen beds or one king bed are blocked for the nights of June 7 and 8.
Deadline for reservations is June 1, 2024 to guarantee the rate. Rooms are limited and subject to availability, so reserve early. The discounted rate may be honored after the deadline if rooms are available.

Cancellations: Room reservations made at the special rate may be cancelled up until 4 p.m. the day prior to arrival, without penalty.
